MIS Foundation

Poland

The MIS Foundation was created in 2015 by a group of professors from two Krakow universities – the Jagiellonian University and the University of Economics – outstanding specialists in the field of law, management and public finance. The main objective of the MIS Foundation is to represent the interests of local government in Poland, spread self-government and CIVIL SOCIETY, and professionalize management in local government administration as well as micro, small and medium enterprises.
Our MISSION is DIALOGUE, PROFESSIONALISM AND DEVELOPMENT, primarily in the area of education of members of local communities, mainly adults, and the professionalization of social services serving to improve the quality of life of residents of local communities. The activities of the MIS Foundation are based, among others on implementing, in cooperation with public, social and business partners, model solutions in education, management, the area of social services, as well as a new approach to the provision of services to various social groups.
The Foundation implement educational and social projects to develop and improve the competences of individuals and groups, public and business organizations important from the point of view of development challenges, based on the concept of lifelong learning.
Since 2020, MIS Foundation has been running a SUPPORT CENTRE FOR INFORMAL CARERS OF DEPENDENT PEOPLE. The centre is located in one of Krakow district, where the majority of the elderly population lives. For the first four years 699 people received support the centre, including 330 informal carers of dependent persons. The Centre provides to informal carers training support, psychological support, rental of medical equipment and other services.

Verein zur Foerderung Assistierender Technologie in Europa

Austria

The Verein zur Foerderung Assistierender Technologie in Europa, better known as the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) is an association with members in Austria and many other European countries.
Members are either individuals or institutions.
The scope of the Association is to foster in Europe access to assistive technology to all persons with disabilities that might benefit from it, children, adults and older people. Access to assistive technology and accessible (digital) environments is a human right laid down in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and in important European policies, such as the European Disability Strategy and the digital agenda. AAATE believes that persons with disabilities of all ages should have the same opportunities as anyone else in society, whether this is in education, employment, culture, sport, social life, etc. Assistive Technology and forgoing attention for accessibility are human rights enablers.
In order to fulfill its mission AAATE implements several activities, such as workshops, conferences, publications, networking events and it actively participates in projects at European level, such as the TRIPS project (Horizon) on accessibility in public transport, the Right to Connect Now project (Erasmus+) on co-production of elearning course on digital skills and the Dig-i-Ready project (Erasmus+) on the role of digital technologies in creating more inclusive and resilient education in VET institutes. AAATE is a partner of the ZeroProject of the Essl Foundation which holds its annual conference in the UN facilities in Vienna and founding member of the Global Alliance of Assistive Technology Organisations.

Asociación Moviéndote

MOVIÉNDOTE Association is a cultural non-profit association created in 2012 by individuals interested in promoting citizen participation and empowerment. Members are experienced in the fields of education, social inclusion, employment, equal opportunities. They are coming from different sectors of the civil society, joining efforts to find a new approach for social and cultural activities in order to promote a sense of responsibility about our own environment and encouraging and supporting people to take action in the different areas of society.
The Association activities focus on four main areas:
• sensitizing and awareness raising actions, mainly focused on youth collective and vulnerable collectives (prevention of violence -including gender and bullying, healthy habits – drugs use prevention, food education, sports);
• volunteering activities (environment protection, intergenerational programmes, cultural activities);
• events and networking activities;
• training and education (focusing on, for example, media, digital, health or environmental literacies; or on upskilling or reskilling in-risk collectives for accessing labor market and for entrepreneurship)
Moviéndote implemented training activities that involved over 450 learners during 2023. They focused on the areas of volunteering, active citizenship, intergenerational learning, equal opportunities, sustainable education, digital culture, entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship.

Pragma Engineering srl

PRAGMA is a SME working in the framework of electronic engineering applications (hw+sw): the main areas are the industrial sector (ATE) and assistive technologies. In the latter field it is developing a 10 years old collaboration with public health institutions as technological support and assistive solutions. It means:
-Industrial solutions for automated enviroments (test, burn-in, cointrol) including robotics and instrumentation control.
-Custom Telecontrol for systems and plants (power systems)
-Telerehabilitation systems (under EU trademark NU!Reha) applied to neurological patients (occupational therapy and cognitive rehabilitation)
-Technological aids – counseling partner for the Regional Centre in Umbria in agreement with public health institutions.
-Technological aids – production and customization as hw-sw developer under Windows and Android platforms.
PRAGMA is an engineering consultant for the Regional Innovation Cluster of Umbria in the framework of “social technology” solutions (wheelchairs, context aware systems, smart home appliance control).

Etairia Nosou Alzheimer Kai Sinafon Diataraxon Athinon Somateio

Athens Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by carers of people with dementia and health care professionals interested in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). It aims at promoting awareness, care and support for everyone in anyway related to the disease. At present, it has 5500 official members and is run by a seven-member elected board. It runs 9 Dementia Day Care Centres. The projects are supported by European Social Funding and the Greek Ministry of Health. Day Care Centres offer people with dementia the opportunity to socialize and help them maintain independence and enjoy a better quality of life. 150 patients benefit from Centre services on a weekly basis.
A multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals provides a comprehensive array of services.
Improving quality of life of these target groups is core aim of the Association.
The specific objectives are: help and support for people with dementia, education and counselling for carers, advocacy of patients’ and carers’ rights and needs, increase of public awareness, scientific research on dementia.
These objectives the Association provides by the activities: memory clinics, non-pharmacological treatments for people with dementia, training, counselling and support for carers, “care at home” service, training of doctors and other healthcare professionals, lectures on human memory and dementia for lay people, publication of newsletters, factsheets and booklets, liaisoning with the community.
